I'm a long time lurker but I decided to finally make a blog to post my art, so let me introduce myself :

Good morning, good afternoon and goodnight people of the earth. My name is Lua, also know as Purple, and I'm here to share my art. I paint, draw, sculpt, sketch, doodle, and do whatever else I feel like. I like to make art about my original characters, my own queerness, any fandom I'm in, and a lot of introspective and fantastical themes – I'm a little bit weird in the head (who isn't). If you ever think Lua is sending a bunch of non-verbal "flirty" signals, it is more likely that she wants to dissect you than anything else. Which is something I kinda discovered last night, but it kinda makes sense for her.

The only lust she has experience with is the lust for knowledge. She's always been morbidly curious and just morbid in general while growing up. Whenever something completely fascinates her, she's going to want to know literally everything about that something or someone.

Thankfully, with years of therapy, social experience, and the fact she doesn't want to hurt others, Lua's most concerning behaviors eventually ceased. Still socially awkward and depressed. Before then, however, she was more comparable to Niffty (which is part of why she likes Niffty near immediately). Just because she won't act on them, doesn't mean the urges are gone. They're just under control and hidden.

Random headcanon

After Emberlynn starts visiting the hotel and Lua lives there, Niffty runs a creative writing club with the help of Charlie and Lua as they all shared the same hobby. All four of them have different writing styles.

Niffty - (Natsuki from DDLC) focuses on how the words sound and appears cutesy but usually hides a darker message. writes mostly romance and sometimes self-inserts

Emberlynn - My Immortal style but improves after feedback from the group. writes mostly self inserts and dark romance

Charlie - (Sayori from DDLC) bright and cheery, uses relatively simple themes. Starts out writing stories more appropriate for kids but slowly delves into hurt/comfort territory, they always have a happy ending

Lua - (Yuri from DDLC) heavily metaphorical, uses more advanced vocabulary, writes mostly fantasy/horror

I don't think I've actually mentioned how Lua dies (it's from illness, although it is more complicated than that) but I like to think she'd come up with wild stories about it lol. Like "Yeah I punched Zeus in the groin and since he's a crybaby he lightning-ed me" type stuff

Great question! Everything I make that's my own and not a reblog is under "my posts", every bit of art I do is under "my art", any game development I do is under "gamedev", you can find all my MLP art under "mlp, my art" or "horsecomix" for the best stuff. I also have an "animations" tag and a "shitposts" tab. I also properly tag all my asks to be asks and write out the asker's name, so if you don't wanna see those just mute the ask tag.

I use FireAlpaca and Paint.net for misc. effects!

What are you using to make your games?

I use FireAlpaca do make my assets! Astral Guard, Happup, and any other top-down RPG games I make are all made in RPGMaker 2003. Susan Taxpayer is made in SMBX2 Beta 4, a Mario fangame engine with lua support!

Why are you using a 2-decade-plus engine to make games?

It's fun!

Do you have a sideblog or something for your art?

Currently just finished Season 7! Haven't watched the movie yet.

Have you watched Equestria Girls?

Yep! Thought it was super cute. I watched up to Rainbow Rocks and plan on watching more.

What's your opinion on MLP so far?

I love it! I think it's cute. I really don't agree that there was some sort of huge quality drop after season 2 or whatever.

What do you think of G5?

Not my style! I don't really like either animation types and it just seems like I'm not in the audience anymore. That's totally chill, but it just doesn't grab me!

Have you watched any other MLP stuff from previous generations?

Nope! But I did see a compilation called Minty Being Autistic for Six Minutes Straight that I loved. she's perfect.

Favorite pony?

Don't got one, I love all the Mane Six a LOT, but I'm particularly fond of Fluttershy, Applejack, and Rarity!

Favorite episode/season?

I'm so bad at picking favorites! But any season past Season 1 I have a blast with because I feel like it's just more my style. I don't have a favorite episode, but the most recent one I can remember LOVING is the one where Starlight bottles up her emotions because it was REALLY funny.

Do you like Pony.mov?

Nope! And stop saying my stuff reminds you of it, it's a lil annoying!

Have you watched the Mentally Advanced Series/Friendship is Witchcraft/Other fandom vids?

Probably not! My interaction with the MLP fandom prior to last year was pretty minimal, so I'm making my way through the show first!

What do you think of Fallout: Equestria?

I think it's super weird but really fun because of that. I've never properly read any of it but it's very fascinating to me.

Are you transgender?

Yep! I go by she/her, I'm a trans woman. Have been for many years, but I only recently came out online!

Are you a lesbian?

Nah, I'm bisexual!

Can I commission you?

Yeah! I only have my commissions available on my Ko-Fi at certain times though, so keep an eye out! I usually announce slots being open at least 12 hours beforehand. Slots are usually first come first serve, but we'll see.

Can I use your art as a Discord emote?

Yeah man i'm not scouring every discord on the planet to find stickers of my work. i think it owns if people take my stuff and make it stupid injoke emotes between friends that makes me very happy.

I feel like this is beyond my capabilities of advice! I'm actually very comfortable with my body and I have been for many years, so I don't know if I can give any good or helpful advice on that front. Apologies, but there are many resources out there where you can ask about those things if you look for them, like Discord channels!

Can't drink coffee, my stomach is cringe.

I'm lame and can't drink most tea but I love this one orange-flavored tea a lot. I also LOVE ice tea.

Well, I can't stop you, but I'm kind of beyond that phase now! I really am a boring ol' plain she/her girl, and I like it that way. It's not much, but it's honest gender.

Mother, Kingdom Hearts, Mario, and I USED to say Fallout, but I found out I'm really only a big Fallout New Vegas fan.

Favorite game from those?

Mother 3 is one of my fave games of all time! I love KHII, and I'm tied for SMB3 and SMW. Also Fallout New Vegas fucks hard.

SMBX2! It's a free fangame engine for Mario episodes, but it's incredibly versatile and has a wonderful community, so I decided to make Susan Taxpayer in it.

First things, I'm really happy your are enjoying the fic, second:

YOU ARE ASKING ABOUT MY OCS?!

ANYWAYS THOSE TWO MY BELOVEDSSSS, easily the favorite children

Left: Mia, 24, she/her, changeling

Right: Prince(oficial name to be decided yet), 23, he/him(for now), "demon"/kobolt(gotta see if the race is trademarked but if not then its the official name)

They are a duo from the adult arc of a comic I'm writting :D, got the first 5 volumes(bela lua chronicles), the child arc, in a nice time-line, and am currently working on the script of volume 1, got to chapter 3

These two, in that form, are only going to apear after volume 5, so in the adult arc

However, Mia(Miranda) will appear as one of the main characters in kid form:

^ this is her with her brother( jointed households tipe of thing) Cadu, the main main boy, she is 13 he is 12 there

Prince will be at maybe hinted at in volume 3 or 5, since one of his uncles is one of the main treats of this story

IN SHORT CONTEXT: since 13, after the events of the main story, Mia is kept under constant surveillance and experiments of an organization dedicated to hunt down ocultist and demons, for now they are called EXECUTORS

Meanwhile, in the main story, we follow Cadus perspective in the adult arc as he joins the EXECUTORS, like his father before him, and his curent antagonist is King(place holder name bc Princes father isn't named yet), and his many attempts of settling and conquering human cities

Cadu up to that point in theory won't have a narrative foil, he is the next generation, and his mentor is to have direct paralels and attitudes with King, hence Prince enters the game

His first introduction is to be his charade, he is cunning, he is flamboyant, he is always demanding attention and is the second head of the kingdom, his father is very busy with conquering so he is left with having to deal with the political swing and senators bullshit, as well as paperwork

That, his upbeat and arrogant attitude, is not his personality, it's his mask, he, like his father, is born with a condition, no matter how many human souls he consumes(the magic sistem: demon eats human soul? Gains magic powers, human eats demon soul? Gains magic powers), he will never be able to use magic, so he has to play and bluff his way to keep power and his fathers favoritism(the concept of heir is different for them)

That makes him weak, that makes him a target, he has to dela with ridicule constantly and fight with words only to maintain the minimal respect he has gained, he is, at the end of the day stressed as fuck, and since he can only work, and deal with the hierach stupidity, he has few loyal allies(read friends)

And that's where Mia comes in

One day his father gets a plan, he needs the EXECUTORS distracted from his affairs, so, what better distraction than a prison break out of the most dangerous ocultist?

Sending his son(who he knows is damn good at infiltration and a sneaky little shit) to make the break out while he leads a raid in a human city, that's when Prince meets Mia

At the deeps of the EXECUTORS prison cells, lies a woman, a beast in human form, the sole survivor of the cult The Esculptors, the first of her kind, a true first born, the only one who survived her own sacrifice, The first Daughter

The only one who didn't get out of her cell when the door opened, and that intrigues the Prince, since she was one of the five in solitary, in theory one of th deadliest, why isn't she going out?

"There is no place for me to go" she says

"... I could give you one" he answers

And that's how Prince has now an "attack dog", and soon, a very loyal friend, loyalty that he,against all he has done up until that point to himself and others, reciprocate in the same note:

Him and Mia are gonna be the "vilain main duo" to Cadu and Emily(his best friend and... ex-complicated aituationship with Mia), the next generation that will pick and change the world, that kinda stuff

In Cadu and Emily, we explore the EXECUTORS side, the things going on behind the scenes where we learn that "demons" and humans are the damn same, exploring the magic system. While in Prince and Mias's side, we explore the cultural difference, the political intrigue, the why's of the two worlds being apart and the revelation that actualy love these two world are unnaturally apart they should be one and the same so let's merge them again

Princes arc is gonna be to create a stable support sistem for him to be himself, those clotes in the art are in his mid term, still eye-catching but not as much as they were, bc he prefers more dark and neutral colors

A fun thing I want to make them is that... well, it is me we are talking about I love gender non conforming pairs, they are my jam, and I decided to explore that in the cultural diference, as clotes

Mia, to human standards is very much a bunch/masc inclined, baggy clotes, monochrome colors, generic sports gear, but to "demons", that I have as base the fact that male cobras are vibrant and female cobras are more muted colors, is text book example of femininity, and that's important bc in the child arc, and why in canon Emily and Mia would never work, is that femininity in masculinity is Mia whole thing

In the child arc, Emily ^, has a big crush on Mia, the way she shows this is by trying to share extreme feminine things with her, she wants Mia to wear feminine clothes bc she thinks she would look cuter in them, very innocent stuff, but the problem is... she is pushy and that drives Mia away, she likes being sporty, she likes being neutral, she likes baggy clothes, selfsteam is not an inssue the inssue is people being pushy with their wants over hers

And that continues in the adult arc, when Emily discovers Mia is alive and looking like this:

The little crush resurges and now that she is older she knows what it is officially, while Cadu is in denial that's his sister, Emily is in denial Mia is by her own choice with the "demons" and wants her back so badly, but Mia... never considered Emily important, that was Cadu and he... is not well, not in great terms right now, so any talk she has with the woman is only testing her patience, and when she explodes is the epitome of Emily finaly moving on and changing and Mia opening up to Prince

Then we got Prince, wearing vibrant colors, very much eye-catching mannerisms and "personality", that is him playing the part as very masculine and "dangerous", in reality he is very quiet and prefers monochrome tones, and only after solidifying this loyalty that is happening between him and Mia is when he will start to open up and be more authentic, bc now if someone insults him, and he can't lay a finger in them bc politic stuff and allies, Mia will, she has cultivated the attack dog persona for a reason

Do yeah, that's Mia and Prince sumirazed lore, leaving her child arc story, his problem with his dad and mom, the political rivalry, just the important beats that these two will play on and with each other

She is the Dragon to his Villain, the comander to his army, he is the second chance of humanity, the fellow ankward social bean

They are romantic/queerplatonic(depending in my mood) but will never even kiss or say ilu in canon story♡

For any other demon Mia is apathetic and a danger, for Prince she is just an introverted

For any other demon Prince is an annoying attention seeking whore, for Mia he is just an introverted forced to be an ambverted

She has to drag him to bed bc his workaholic ass has to double shift since his dearest dad has not yet answered three piles of paper work since last week, he has to remind her and force her to eat since, you know, losing all that was dear to her(saw her mom die, and explosion to her face making ehr lose half of it and a limb, as well as thinking Cadu was dead) at age 12 has fucked up her brain so hard she sometimes gets back to the bad cycle that was prison of selfstarvation

They will make each other better much to the despair of everyone else(the demon concil, the Executors, Princes rivals, Mias depresion demons etc)

I've wanted to make a male builder for a long time, and as I had already commented on Max in Lua's lore I finally put his image in a drawing.

Originally he was going to be my Multiplayer oc, when he still had a story. To link between the singleplayer story and the mp.

As the lore of past Sandrock is a bit confusing, I imagine Max was in Sandrock between 79 and 83. when Lou was mayor. He was friends with Theodore, Trudy, Hugo, and Owen and Justice's parents. He had a secret crush on Howlett, but never declared it in words. He liked to play with Logan and the boys, as well as always helping little Heidi with materials for her ideas.

I like to think he taught Logan how to cook when Howlett was hunting. That's why Logan cooks badly...

soooo sol is an oc from sky children of the light!! idk if youve heard of it and its kinda hard to explain without spoiling too much, but most of her lore is shit i made up so whatever. In sky cotl you play as a child made by god? A god? you're thrown into an vast but empty world, tasked to help the spirits of the people who used to live there to move on. Entering Spoiler territory, solaria is a skykid born at the wrong time. Her need for attention is a bottomless pit and she had to be born after the whole kingdom fucking died!! And to make matters worse she was born during a time with very few skykids so she was very miserable. She lives in the valley of triumph and protects it with tooth and nail, she gets drunk on the screams of glory that still echoes in the snowy racetracks even though their owners are long gone, and when she's at the coliseum for a moment she can pretend she has an audience and that the valley of triumph's elders have finally acknowledged her. That's all she wants. Obviously she wants to be the best at her job (cleaning the mess left by an entire civilization), but deep down she just wants to be told she's doing a good job, that she's not making things worse while thinking she's doing the right thing. Is hard as fuck you know. The kingdom is empty, god just dropped her there with vague instructions. There's a real tangible Threat still around. She's just a little lost... Just a little. Shes also constantly craving adrenaline, both because it's fun af and because she likes the look on lua's face when she barely escapes something dangerous. That's the attention she wanted. She'd never admit that though.

Speaking of lua she's @dollfunerall's skykid and theyre girlfriends ☀️🌒 wives :) lualeil's one of the veery few skykids who actually came BEFORE the catastrophe which wiped off the entire sky kingdom. She's old af. She's a disciple of teth, the elder of the hidden forest, and sol in turn is lua's disciple. Lua drives sol insane i miss my wiiiiife she left for work i miss her so much. But she's also really envious of lua. Lua was around when the kingdom wasn't just ruins, she lived among people, living people, and teth looked at her. Teth acknowledged her. That's everything she wanted!! And she hates herself for it. Because skykids are hope, are light, they're kind and friendly and envy is not something they should feel. She feels even worse because she's ridiculously envious of the life lua lost, since she survived the catastrophe while watching everyone die. Kinda fucked up, she thinks.

Anyways, I like to slap her in Situations. She's really silly. I care her. Below, an assortment of solarias:

I tried making Lua in picrew. The white strips are supposed to be her ears, and she's actually built more like Emberlynn/Mimzy. Her "hair" is always moving like rolling clouds.

Some lore updates after The Sacrifice

Reminder: This is about my operators, my OCs and how I personally view the lore. Some headcanons of mine might be considered dumb or stupid, I’m aware of it but hey, it’s my stuff. I like my trash. Also I might have forgotten lots of other stuff and for that I apologize.

- Rosier started looking for the Lotus since The Apostasy Prologue but only asked for Glow’s assistance when his investigation pointed towards Lua, as she possess most data about the place.

- Glow has accepted to help him, although he was looking for technically an enemy of Anyo Corp and personal one, being the Lotus. Ballas is a common enemy for both of them, yet for different reasons. Plus, Rosier is still a close friend and this investigation was also the perfect opportunity to discover more about the Executor Ballas, his schemes with Hunhow and of course the Orokin culture left behind. In the end, she even kept the Vitruvian notes.

- Glow helped Rosier as a medium between him and Umbra, as he’s not the best at the art of Transference, especially when the link has to be established during battles and quickly. Rosier doesn’t rely much on his Void powers, so her presence was helpful for “taming” Umbra.

- With Umbra, instead of unleashing his vengeful wrath against Ballas, Rosier chose the path of acceptance. Yet he was left confused when seeing the Lotus in her sentient form but remains determined to find her. However, not for the same reason as before. Now he seeks answers more than anything, compared to a selfish need in the beginning.

- Umbra acts as a guardian around both Rosier and Glow. However, Umbra is now living with Rosier, as the bond between them is stronger and Glow only helped in the process. With him and Ordis, Rosier feels much better. Umbra is slowly getting used to this new life.

- Glow doubts about Ballas’ death, though Rosier thinks otherwise. So she still considers him as a potential threat to Anyo Corp but mostly to her fiancé’s objective to establish a new Empire based on both Corpus and Void-oriented cultures. However, Ballas wouldn’t be that big of a threat compared to a whole hive of Sentients in the Tau System, which haven’t been explored yet, only by the Sentients themselves. Yet their objectives remain a mystery, they’re still a possible, dormant threat.

- Shortly after the events of The Sacrifice, Glow’s Wukong, Staff, asked for freedom, instead of being stored like any other Warframe. Being “born” to be a temporary replacement a long time ago, Umbra’s presence was a key element for this bold request. However, Glow accepted to let him free. He’s still part of the Red Veil, and joined the other independant warframes of this syndicate.

- Olivier assumed Ballas is dead and a dishonor to the Orokin Empire; he doesn’t look forward to find him again and is now mostly focused on creating a new Orokin Empire. Given the circumstances, his Trinity, Scylla, and Rosier’s Titania, Grace, are now married.

2: An early OC I remember making

Dante Seraphim (That’s not really his surname). He’s this guy who was brought up to join a secret society of soldiers dedicated to serving Heaven and fighting demons and shit, but due to some “ancient prophecy bullshit” and his boyfriend’s machinations, he winds up getting exiled from that faction and hunted down by his former friends (it’s very action movie-like)

6: An OC I love to hate 

Arthur Morgenstern, the father of one of my favorite OCs. He’s generally a piece of shit. 

7: An OC I love… reluctantly

Daniel, the guy Dante from Question #5 dated. He tried to spur a rebellion within the faction he and Dante served, but due to some lore bullshit regarding Dante, Daniel was left blameless and Dante was exiled in his stead.

8: Two or more OCs who are connected (and how)

Faith, Wolfgang and Enoch are the three Branwen Children, a kind of Moirae that are borne of the eldest God of Death. Together, they oversee the death of gods, ensuring that all immortal deities meet their end when they should. 

Faith is in charge of overseeing the fates of all the gods in the world. She makes sure they all complete their stories; their reigns and their downfalls. 

Wolfgang is, begrudgingly, Faith’s assistant. The immortal world is a vast place, one that one soul couldn’t ever watch over alone. So, he handles surveillance, making sure that every deity plays their part, and nothing more. 

And when the gods try to rebel, when they grow too self-absorbed in their own “brilliance” they believe they should never die? They send in Enoch, the Reaper. Enoch is the most active of the Three Children, and the only one of them who has actually killed gods. Her role is to slay any deity that chooses not to die, which, admittedly, doesn’t happen often. Enoch is also the most rebellious of the Three Children, being the youngest. She actively lives in the mortal world, choosing to live amongst the puny mortals whose watchers she is sworn to slay. Enoch was actually the first sibling to give herself a name, for her convenience in the mortal world.

Given their elusive positions, the Branwens are more or less omnipresent in my fictional worlds, and are a prominent (albeit rarely-mentioned) part of a larger shared universe I’ve been writing.

I kinda-sorta have an OC that’s basically Sitcom!Me with exaggerated traits, like his catch phrase or whatever is just “I can give about three fucks about anything at any given time” and he’s hella apathetic but he actually cares a lot and he’s just too tired and has weird ways to show it

13: An OC inspired by something completely unexpected

Okay so get this:

I have an OC who’s part of a lost order dedicated to maintaining peace in an apocalyptic wasteland--through fear. To cultivate that kind of fear, this order would style themselves after Death; the Grim Reaper, specifically. They wore all black and wielded scythes, as well as commanding a fierce arsenal of magic and custom firearms.

But I didn’t think of that shit at the time. You know what I thought up? The aesthetic. Black clothes and a wide-brimmed hat for keeping out the sun. 

Especially the hat.

You wanna know WHY THE HAT?

Because I was waiting in line outside the DMV on a bright, sunny-ass day, and I started daydreaming with the thought “Wow, I could really do with a cowboy hat.”

There was this character I made, and he’s a bi, trans man who grew up in a really homophobic/transphobic house with an abusive.... everyone, really. He didn’t do anything about it until about a year after graduating high school, when he moved in with a family friend who was actually a decent person.

Lemme tell you he’s been through a lot of changes--started off as personified Death’s son, one who was hella 2000′s goth and was literally called “Lucifer Crescent,” THEN he became part of an angel/demon war and was renamed “Dante,” but he and several other kids took on the names of dead Angels to carry on an ancient tradition of passing on their power, and NOW he’s part of that second story, but heavily revised in that it’s no longer in a fantasy world and they now wage a shadow war across a low fantasy environment.

17 for 5ds. Since you seem to dislike the second half of the series I'm curious what you would have done (but you have to have the same circumstances as the show / producers had so Carly does have to appear less and can't purse the cult stuff with Divine and such)

Nah even if I couldn’t work with Arcadia Movement / Carly / aftermath of Dark Signers, there’s oneeee big thing I would have done…

as…interesting as Aporia and Z-One were and could have been, I would not have made them the main villains.  I would have made Red Nova the main villain.

It’s a much more natural progression from Earthbound Immortals to THE BIG BAD EARTHBOUND IMMORTAL according to the canon we already had.  It has a lot more room to play with the lore and imo it would have been more interesting.  Yliaster would have instead been focused around doing a Round 2 of Earthbound Immortal shenanigans

Also: I would have given Lua his Mark much earlier, and have him like, do crazy magic shit with his Signer powers that he has to learn how to use.  Lua, Luka, Aki, and Crow all would have gotten at least two upgrades to their dragons, one Saber form and one form that’s equivalent to Shooting Star/Red Nova.

Aki would not have lost her psychic powers at any point, instead she would have spent some time learning how to use them.  Aki also would have had a subplot where she trains on the D-Wheel with Sherry.

I would have fiddled with a lot of scenes where Yusei did a thing that someone else could have easily done, like for example, Aki or Luka could have dueled the school principal.

Crow would not have been retconned into being bad at building motorcycles, Pearson wouldn’t exist, instead I would drag my OC of Crow’s mom into the picture who had somehow survived Zero Reverse and been the actual Legendary D-Wheerl who built the Daedalus Bridge while looking for her husband and son.

And i’m sorry but the WRGP would not exist…it dragged on…so..fucking…long…

Daydreams and Illusions

Pretty much all of Lua's powers are tied to her subconscious. This is because she is best represented by the Moon Arcana, which for those that don't know is used to represent illusion, confusion, caution, and the unconscious. This is best illustrated through her biggest coping mechanism, maladaptive daydreaming.

Whenever she disengages with reality, she unconsciously projects whatever imagery and sounds she imagines. The deeper she is in the daydream state, the more vivid the projected scenery becomes and the area affected increases, up to 1000sqft. Music is a good way to put her in that state as well as control the illusion from the outside. Nothing physically changes about the space. In fact, if the daydream involves people, you can literally walk into them and take their place if you wanted to since they're just clouds.

However, as neat as it sounds, given how she has to access that ability, it has too many drawbacks to be useful. Without specific training anyway. Until someone points it out to her, she isn't even aware that she's using it, which makes her more vulnerable. All she thinks is that her actions in that state look just as insane as they did when she was alive. One of the worst parts is that it also applies to her intrusive thoughts, so the imagery can be very triggering especially since it comes out of nowhere and typically involves self harm (this won't come up in rp unless it's plotted and ofc I'll tag it). You may not even recognize it's Lua doing it at first since she rarely appears as her sinner form during those episodes.

The best way to pull her out of it is with jarring noises or just calling her name. The illusion fades pretty quick once she's grounded in reality again.
